Tahoe/Colonial Collaborative (TCC) on Facebook

Welcome to the TCC!

The Tahoe/Colonial Collaborative (TCC) is a small, grassroots community organization created in 1994 by a caring parents, youth, educators, businessowners and other neighbors, in an effort to connect families to each other and to resources.
Together, these individuals talked with hundreds of community members through interviews, surveys and focus groups, ultimately determining that the neighborhood was seriously lacking opportunities for people to come together for education, recreation and resources.
Over the years, TCC has earned a reputation in the community for being a strong and responsive advocate; an excellent clearinghouse of information and opportunities; and a trusted respite for children, families, seniors and other neighbors in search of tools and connections that will empower them to lead healthier, safer and happier lives.

Our Mission and Motto

TCC's mission was originally written 1994 and updated in 2012:
" The mission of the TCC is to educate and support a healthy and safe neighborhood by providing services and activities that bring adults and children together."

TCC's Motto:"It's not about being in the right neighborhood; it's about making the neighborhood right."

Our Goals

  1. To develop activities that support the physical mental and emotional health of the neighborhood and its children and families.
  2. TO collaborate with schools, organizations, community providers, and neighbors to strengthen our services.
  3. To provide a thriving community center for neighborhood use by securing grants, fundraising, and soliciting help from the community.

EXTRA! EXTRA!  TCC Wins an Award!
